MDT
Dermview run a fortnightly skin cancer MDT meeting whereby all complex skin cancer cases (identified as a result of a confirmatory histological diagnosis) are discussed to ensure that the patient receives an optimised clinical pathway that has been consensually agreed upon by the relevant clinical stakeholders and attending surgical consultant.
The MDT is comprised of the following personnel who are all consultants in their field (and registered with the relevant Specialist Register of the Irish Medical Council): dermatopathology, dermatology, plastic surgeon, maxillofacial surgeon, radiation oncologist, MDT co-ordinator, registered nurse and access to a data manager). The cases to be discussed at the MDT meeting will be identified by the Data manager from their histological diagnosis.
